AVM Treatment
A cerebral arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is a disorder of the brain's blood vessels. It is a condition that is present at birth. It is characterized by an abnormal connection between the arteries and the veins in the brain. There are often no symptoms until complications occur, which often lead to a hemorrhagic stroke. Cerebral arteriovenous malformations occur in less than 1% of people.

Treatments for AVM includes observation, radiosurgery, endovascular embolization, surgical removal or a combination of one or more types of procedures.
