Dr. Narayanan is a St. Joseph Mercy Oakland vascular and interventional neurologist and an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Neurology at Wayne State University. Dr. Narayanan is a graduate of the six-year Honors Program in Medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed a neurology residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, a vascular neurology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a three-year fellowship in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Dr. Narayanan specializes in minimally invasive neuroendovascular procedures to treat acute stroke, coil intracranial aneurysms, embolize adult and pediatric arteriovenous malformations, fistulas, and tumors, and stent intra-/extracranial vessels. She serves on the editorial board for Journal for Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases and is an active member of the Society for NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS), Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN), the American Stroke Association, and the American Academy of Neurology.
